CRISIS INTERVENTION - This program operates 24
hours a day/365 days a year to provide response to those in psychiatric crisis
throughout
OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH- This program’s services
include mental health assessment and evaluation, individual and family
counseling, psychiatric evaluation, on-going psychiatric follow-up with
medication monitoring, psychological testing and facilitation of inpatient
hospitalization.
SCREENING, ASSESSMENT AND
SUPPORT SERVICES FOR YOUTH (S.A.S.S.) - This program
provides intensive counseling and case management services in the home and
school to youth who demonstrate severe emotional disturbance and are in danger
of being placed outside of the home.
These services are designed to provide support to those families and
children qualifying for these services over a limited period of time.
ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE
- This
program provides alcohol and drug use assessment, determination of treatment
needs for those presenting with alcohol and/or drug use problems, counseling
for those individuals and their families concerned about alcohol and/or drug
use, group intervention for those meeting the standards for this level of care,
referral to higher levels of care for alcohol and drug treatment for those requiring
a more intensive course of treatment and community education services to combat
the abuse and dependence of alcohol and other addictive substances. Funding
is provided in part by the Department of Alcoholism
& Substance Abuse.
DUI SERVICES - This program provides
court-mandated DUI evaluations, update evaluations, drivers’ remedial education
classes and non-DUI assessments. These
services are provided by a certified DUI Specialist.
DRIVER’S REMEDIAL EDUCATION
- This 10
hour education class is provided as a service to those who have lost their
driver’s license as a result of being convicted of driving under the influence
of alcohol. Completion of this course
satisfies the remedial education requirement made by the Secretary of State.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE AWARENESS
CLASS -
These classes are designed to fulfill the needs and demands of the individual
court systems of this and other counties, as well as the underage
offender. The program presents materials
relevant to persons under 21 years of age on many
topics including, but not limited to
PSYCHO-SOCIAL REHABILITATION
(PSR) –
This program operates to provide professional, confidential services of
systematic skills training, vocational rehabilitation, peer support and
community development. The overall focus
adheres to skill building and support that maximizes the realization of
personal recovery goals and independence from institutional services. PSR is based on an underlying philosophy of
doing things with instead of for the consumers.
FACT: When
individuals with mental illness are involved in meaningful work, they are more
likely to maintain good mental health and fewer expensive services.
FACT: Mental
illness is not caused by personal weakness nor can it be cured by personal
strength. Proper treatment is needed.

CASE MANAGEMENT - This program provides an
assigned caseworker to monitor and assist those with mental illness in problem
solving, accessing needed resources in order to maintain independent
functioning despite experiencing symptoms of their illness.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
- This
program works with business and industry in
DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE INTERVENTION - This program
provides court-mandated treatment primarily for those convicted of domestic
abuse of a spouse within
MEMORY
AND AGING ASSESSMENT - This program provides an objective assessment
conducted by qualified Division of Mental Health staff to determine if symptoms
of dementia are present as the origin for memory problems in older adults.

educational services to youth, parents, teachers, churches, and community
groups of
