Recording Fees A list of recording fees for Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Recorder has a County Policy approved by County Board and State’s Attorney that requires 1) All documents with legal descriptions to also list that property’s Physical Address and Tax Permanent Index Number (PIN) to be acceptable for recordation. Any questions on this Policy should be directed to our Recording Department (217-532-9535). 2) All transfer documents to include a completed Plat Act Affidavit (form on this website). In addition, if the transfer document divides an existing parcel of land, written approval from our GIS Mapping representative must be given before the document will be accepted for recordation.
